Pirate day!

Ahoy me hearties! We had a fantastic day dressing up as Pirates, playing pirate games such as "Steal the Gold and racing our boats across the pool. We had an awesome day and it was so exciting especially when Fergus's dad set off some gun powder! We were able to test our boats in the water that we had spent a lot of time making, and we will be reflecting on what modifications our boats now need. The day is going to be used as a powerful motivation for our writing next week and there will be many exciting tales to tell. Thanks so much to the parents for helping to make our rafts and also for helping with our costumes.
